Lunette Castillo
Medical Consultant Nurse Practicioner

Lunette brings over 14 years of diversified experience to the role and is very passionate about delivering excellent care. Her role will enhance communication amongst care providers and improve the already superb standard of care. At Westmeath, we are always striving to provide the best care experience for our residents and her appointment will be an extension of that goal.   Lunette will be a great addition to the multi-disciplinary care team and will provide the best possible care for our residents.

Akilah Reid
Activities Program Manager

Akilah has been working at Westmeath in the Activities Department for over 7 years.  She started as a volunteer after returning home after completing her degree.  She started as a part time assistant and is currently the full time Activities Program Manager. She is passionate about her job and spending the days with the residents of Westmeath, doing things such as exercise, playing board games, attending social events and decorating the home (Westmeath) for special occasions.    She has enjoyed growing and learning with the residents year after year and finding ways to enhance and expand the program to help keep them socially and physically active.

Deanna Symonds-Cumberbatch
Residential Unit &
Assisted Living Coordinator

Deanna received a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology and minor in Psychology, from St. Mary’s in Canada and Nursing Degree through Duke University-Watts School of Nursing. She has worked as a care giver since the tender age of 19 years old and has been employed at Westmeath for over 6 years. She enjoys working with seniors because of their various colorful backgrounds, stories and personalities. Her nursing experience branches back to Lefroy House, KEMH, Matilda Smith Nursing Home as their Administrator as well as owning and operating a Nursing Home for 8 years. She loves to volunteer at the Hamilton SDA church feeding program, supporting drives to solicit warm blankets and plastic for the homeless. She also enjoys hosting cooking classes to promote healthy food choices.

Mary Dunning
Life Care Unit Coordinator

Mary joined Westmeath June 2008 and have been the Unit Coordinator of Life care ever since. She trained in the U.K. completing R.N May 1968 and Midwifery 1974 before relocating to Bermuda 1975.  She worked at K.E.M.H. for 10 years on Curtis Ward leaving as junior sister to work in the community.  With an increase in the population of dementia related illnesses, she volunteered with Dr. McPhee to establish the first Alzheimers Support Group available in the community. Mary is an avid photographer who enjoys travelling and time with friends.

Jennifer Nisbett
Memory Care Unit Coordinator

Jennifer S. Nisbett was born and raised in Bermuda. The eldest of 3 children. She was educated at Purvis Primary and Berkeley Institute. On completion of high school she attended The Sixth Form Centre before going on to The Bermuda School of Nursing graduating as an Enrolled Nurse.  In 1978 she left Bermuda to join the ministry of The Salvation Army in Canada. In 1987 she began her 23 years as the Night Supervisor in Sunbeam Lodge, a home for disabled children. There she met and later adopted her son. 

In 2010 she and her son returned to Bermuda to fulfill a promise to care for her parents when the time came. One week later she began her work as Unit Coordinator here at Westmeath. Having lived away from home for 32 years she has a passion for ensuring that families stay connected. COVID 19 has proved to be a challenge to this passion, but one she gladly takes on.
